Teen accused of breaking Seneca Falls police officer's leg – Finger Lakes Daily News

The Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a 16-year-old girl for felonious assault for an incident that occurred on April 12.

Officers went to a residence in the city to speak with the teen after police received a report of a mental health incident. Officers at the scene decided to take the teenager into custody. During her arrest, the 16-year-old girl, whose name has not been released due to her age, became physically uncooperative and aggressive with officers, resulting in a leg injury to one officer due to what police believe were intentional actions by the teen.

The officer was treated at an appropriate medical facility and released, pending further medical treatment. Further medical attention determined that the officer had suffered a fracture as a result of this incident.

The woman was charged as a juvenile and released on a citation to appear in Seneca County Juvenile Court at a later date and time.
