On June 10, Memphis Police responded to a burglary in the 2200 block of Chelsea Avenue at Memphis Fire Station #19.

Reports indicate that two suspects, including Jordan Freeman, used a ladder to jump the fence and enter the parking lot.

Officers saw two men inside vehicles belonging to Memphis Fire employees – a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. They also attempted to enter four other cars, but were unsuccessful.

The suspects fled the scene on foot and were taken into custody while on Peres Avenue.

Once in custody, Freeman said he committed the crime while armed with a firearm stolen during a June 4 robbery.

Freeman and another man allegedly approached the victim and took his gun on North Watking Street.

Jordan Freeman is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
