Tanker driver facing drug trafficking case

COTABATO CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-12 has filed a criminal complaint against a detained traveling shabu trafficker who used his job as an oil truck driver to smuggle shabu to different areas in Mindanao.

Aileen Lovitos, director of PDEA-12, said Thursday that Lloyd Macias Villegas, 44, who was trapped last Sunday by their agents in Alabel City proper, is now awaiting prosecution for violating the drug law dangerous. from 2002.

Villegas, who had confessed to distributing shabu to contacts in different provinces and cities in Mindanao where he traveled as the driver of a tanker truck belonging to a private oil import company, was a high-value target PDEA staff in Region 12 and the Bangsamoro region. and units of the regional police office-12.

PDEA-12 operatives and police officers immediately arrested him after he sold them P31,000 worth of shabu during a swap last Sunday in Alabel, organized with the help of employees of different oil gas stations aware of its illegal drug trafficking activities.

Lovitos said PDEA-12 is grateful to the Police Brigadier's Office. General Percival Augustus Placer, Director of PRO-12, for supporting their operation which resulted in the arrest of Villages, now confined in a detention center.
