Tallahassee man sentenced to 25 years in prison for January shooting at Leon Arms Apartments

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison for a January shooting at the Leon Arms Apartments.

Suavae Nash's conviction comes after she was found guilty of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting at Leon Arms' apartment earlier this year, according to the state's attorney's office.

The day of the incident, the victim was found at the top of the stairs of the apartment complex, bleeding from what appeared to be three gunshot wounds, according to the state's attorney's office.

Witnesses said Nash was angry and argued with the victim because he thought the victim had stolen his gun, court records show. However, the victim was adamant that she did not own the gun, according to court records.
