Four suspects were arrested on Memorial Day after allegedly robbing a Virginia ABC store in the West End, fleeing in a stolen car and then crashing into several cars before being arrested on foot in Del Ray.

The Alexandria Police Department reported a report of a stolen white Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Quaker Lane and Seminary Road. The Elantra with Maryland tags was stolen in Prince George's County and crashed into a parked vehicle a mile later at Fontaine Street and W. Braddock Road.

The four suspects took off again after crashing, but did not get far. Less than a mile later, they crashed into another car near the intersection of W. Braddock Road and W. Alexandria Avenue. The suspects then jumped out of the car and were arrested minutes later by police, according to the report.

Three of the suspects are juveniles and the driver is an adult. Shortly after their arrest, police linked the suspects to an alleged theft at the Virginia ABC store at 3161 Duke Street. Just before the pursuit, a suspect was filmed assaulting a store employee before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of alcohol, according to the report.

ALXnow has contacted APD to provide information on the charges filed as well as the identity of the adult suspect.
