Suspect on the loose after stabbing in Brattleboro

Brattleboro, Vt. – One person is dead following a stabbing in Brattleboro Thursday evening, and although police have a suspect, they have not made any arrests.

Police say the stabbing happened just before 11 p.m. on Flat Street. The stabbed person was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Investigators say they have identified a suspect, but they have not yet released his name and he is still at large. A news release from Brattleboro police said they expected charges to be filed this afternoon.

The victim's name has also not been released. Police ask anyone with more information to call them at 802-257-7946.
