Suspect in San Fernando shooting of five people arrested

The suspect in a mass shooting in the city of San Fernando over the weekend that left five people injured was brought to justice on Wednesday, May 29.

Rodriguez was charged with seven counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm on a peace officer and two counts of Charge of shooting against a dwelling/inhabited vehicle.

On Saturday, May 25, San Fernando police arrested Martin Rodriguez, 61, who initially barricaded himself in his home in the 900 block of Orange Grove Avenue after shooting multiple victims. He was arrested in a neighboring residence.
