Suspect in fatal road rage shooting on Pennsylvania turnpike found dead in truck

Police have found the man they accuse of being responsible for Friday's shooting on the Pennsylvania Turnpike that killed a 40-year-old man, state police said Monday evening.

Police said they found the 59-year-old North Dinwiddie, Va., man dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday morning in the parking lot of a shopping complex on Crossings Boulevard in Caernarvon Township, W. Berks County.

Police said that during a “road rage-type incident,” the Virginia man shot a 40-year-old man from Royersford, Pennsylvania. The shooting happened on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76, between Morgantown and Bowmansville around 1:15 p.m.

The victim died Monday at Reading Hospital, the Berks County Coroner's Office reported to state police.
