Suspect identified in fatal California City McDonald's shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police in the California city have identified a man wanted on murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting May 29 at a McDonald's restaurant.

Investigators identified the suspect in the shooting as 26-year-old Cameron Rashad Hill. The California city Police Department said there was a warrant for Hill's arrest and that he was considered armed and dangerous. Officials said Hill may be in the Antelope Valley area and may be trying to flee the area.


Police released surveillance footage of the incident and a photo of Hill on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the McDonald's at 9628 California City Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting. The victim, identified as Maurice Bailey, 48, was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities have not released details about what led to the shooting.
