Suspect captured after allegedly stabbing 6 people in Massachusetts

BRAINTREE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Braintree and Plymouth police departments say a suspect is in custody after two stabbing incidents in Massachusetts on May 25.

Police said the suspect entered the Braintree AMC around 6 p.m., entered a theater without paying and stabbed four young girls “without any warning.”

The suspect then fled in a black SUV, drove to a McDonald's in Plymouth, then stabbed a man and a woman.

Massachusetts State Police pursued the suspect's vehicle, which failed to stop, and the suspect ultimately crashed in Sandwich.

Police said the incidents appeared to be related. The suspect is being treated at an area hospital.

The four juveniles, ages 9 to 17, were all treated at local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 29-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
