Suspect arrested in early morning shooting

A man was arrested and a handgun recovered following a shooting near Telegraph and Durant avenues in Berkeley early Sunday morning, police said.

Police received a call shortly before 2 a.m. about a group of people involved in a fight and at least one shot was fired, Berkeley police Lt. Peter Lee said.

Officers responded and arrested a man and recovered a handgun, the lieutenant said.

No injuries were reported and police continue to investigate the incident, he said.
