ACADIA PARISH, Louisiana (KLFY) — A man wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting in Pointe-de-l'Église in January has been arrested.

The incident took place on January 28 after it was reported that several shots had been fired at the corner of David and West Canal Streets in Church Point. Officers were advised that a person had been shot in the lower back and was in the hospital.

Investigators said the person shot first began shooting at someone in another vehicle who had stopped and returned fire, hitting him. Authorities said the initial vehicle the suspects were in was believed to have been stolen in Opelousas. Authorities obtained arrest warrants for Riggs and a juvenile who was also in the suspect's vehicle, police said.
