Suspect arrested after teen's shooting death in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Lawrence Police Department has arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy earlier this week.

Lawrence police announced Friday that Cir Allen Glover, 18, was in jail facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of Isaiah Neal.

Lawrence police officers responded to the shooting just after 1:15 a.m. Thursday on Alabama Street between West 24th and West 25th.

On site, the police found the victim, who had multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

The police department said information received led officers to travel to Miami County. The Lawrence Police Department and the Miami County Sheriff's Office worked together through the night to follow up on leads and ensure the safety of everyone involved during the arrest.

Glover turned himself in without incident, police said.
