Suspect arrested after stabbing three people in Silver Creek Township – Leader Publications

CASS COUNTY — A suspect was arrested in the stabbing of three people in Silver Creek Township, police said Saturday morning.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that around 11 p.m. on Friday, June 21, his office received notification from a resident of Spring Lake Rd in Saint Joseph County Michigan that John Coons was in his aisle.

Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Saint Joseph County Sheriff's Office and troopers from the Michigan State Police responded and were able to arrest Coons after he surrendered peacefully.

Sheriff Behnke would like to thank law enforcement as well as members of the public who provided tips and information that made the resolution of this incident possible.
