Suspect and victim in northwest Charlotte homicide identified

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – The suspect and victim of a homicide in northwest Charlotte in March were identified Tuesday by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police say David McNeil, 44, was found dead in the 3800 block of Brookshire Boulevard on March 22.

Police said McNeil was fatally injured before collapsing in the street, then hit by a vehicle a short time later.

A few months later, Divee Cunningham, 27, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
