Stuart woman accused of stabbing during fight near Walgreens

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Stuart woman has been accused of stabbing another woman with a knife.

Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m., FPPD responded to a possible stabbing at the intersection of South US Highway 1 and East Midway Road near Walgreens.

During their investigation, officers determined that Sansophie Lanier, 35, and a 28-year-old woman were involved in a fight that included a knife when Lanier stabbed the victim, according to the FPPD release.

FPPD reported the victim, in critical but stable condition, was transported to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital.

Lanier was apprehended and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
