The Florida Forest Service is on the scene of a wildfire Thursday afternoon off Laguna and John's Lake roads in Clermont. The structures are threatened, indicated the FFS. Helicopters drop water on the fire. Heavy smoke is coming from the area and FFS is asking people to avoid the area. CLERMONT, Florida —

The Florida Forest Service is on the scene of a wildfire Thursday afternoon at Laguna and John's Lake roads in Clermont.

The structures are threatened, says FFS.

Helicopters drop water on the fire.

There is heavy smoke in the area and FFS is asking people to avoid the area.

WESH 2 has a crew heading to the area with Chopper 2.

Wildfire at Laguna and John's Lake Rd. Please advise there are structures in danger. We have the Florida Forest Service helicopter with a Bambi bucket on the way. You will see smoke in the area. Please stay away from the area.
