Store break-in suspect identified

The Monticello Police Department (MPD) has identified the suspect in last weekend's burglar alarm as Stanley Reed and is asking citizens for information on his whereabouts. MPD officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Soulshine Vintage boutique at 195 N. Jefferson St. that went off on Sunday, May 26. The MPD press release said officers arriving on scene found all accessible entry points to be secure. “The key holder later arrived and discovered that a rear door entry point into the secure area had been breached,” the press release states.
