Staunton police and fugitive task force arrest two in May stabbing incident

THE Staunton Police Department And US Marshals Capital Region Regional Task Force arrested two individuals for their alleged role in a stabbing last month in Staunton.

Zachery Taylor Head33 years old, from Staunton, and Raven Ciara May25, of Staunton, was taken into custody Monday.

Both are being held without bail at Middle River Regional Jail.

The arrests come after an incident at 7 eleven at 427 N. Coalter St.

On May 18, at 3:26 a.m., a 911 call reported a stabbing victim at the convenience store. The stabbing suspects fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Police determined that a robbery and assault had occurred at a nearby residence.

The victim, an unidentified 25-year-old man, was slightly injured.

Head was charged with robbery, wounding with intent and breaking and entering.

May was charged with robbery, breaking and entering, using or exhibiting a firearm in commission of a felony and brandishing a firearm.

The case is still ongoing.
