Stabbing victim found after large fight at Carson Beach

A large fight involving about 100 people at Carson Beach in South Boston on Friday around 8:50 p.m. resulted in a stabbing incident, state police said.

Police said an officer at the scene spotted a person who appeared to have been the victim of a stabbing.

The victim, identified only as an adult male, was transported to a Boston area hospital. Authorities said his injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.

Boston police were also at the scene to assist with crowd control, state police said.

Investigators with the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit were investigating.
