Stabbing incident unfolds in Texarkana parking lot

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Texarkana Police were called to the 2300 block of N. Stateline this afternoon on reports of a stabbing. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 1:36 p.m. after what appeared to be a lengthy altercation between several individuals in the business parking lot.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers were confronted with a chaotic scene. However, through diligent investigation, detectives pieced together elements of the confrontation. It was revealed that the victim, during the altercation, found himself pursued by a suspect brandishing a knife on the roadway. Tragically, the victim was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Stateline after the chase, suffering at least one stab wound to the neck.

The victim's transport to the hospital was facilitated by a private vehicle. At this time, the victim's condition has not been released and hopes rest on a speedy recovery.

On scene, police quickly apprehended the suspect, who now faces charges of aggravated assault.
