Stabbing attack in Southeast DC leaves man injured, police investigate

The people accused of being involved in the stabbing were last seen in the 3400 block of Southeast 15th Street.

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for those responsible for stabbing and injuring a man in Southeast D.C. Wednesday morning.

Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to Savannah Street Southeast, off 15th Street Southeast, around 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing. The victim, identified only as a man, was found conscious and breathing.

Through an investigation, it was determined that those accused of being involved in the stabbing were last seen in the 3400 block of Southeast 15th Street, a short distance from the place where the crime allegedly took place. Police say they are looking for a man who was wearing a black hoodie and black t-shirt and the other man was wearing black with lime green gloves.

No information has been released about what may have led to the stabbing. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Anyone with knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your report to the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to up to $25,000 to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
