Stabbing arrest in the city of Rome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On May 29, around 4 p.m., Rome Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the City of Rome.

When police arrived on scene, they found a woman who had been stabbed in the leg. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries.


A suspect has been identified as Kylee Harris, 18, of Vernon.

Hours after the assault, with the assistance of the Utica Police Department, Harris was located in the City of Utica and taken into custody.

Harris was processed and transported to the Oneida County Jail and is being held pending arraignment.

Harris was charged with second-degree assault. Further charges are expected.
