A stabbing defendant was reminded he must comply with all conditions of release during a June 28 hearing before D.C. Superior Court Judge Jennifer Di Toro.

Billy Williams, 65, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault causing serious bodily injury, threatening to kidnap or injure a person while armed and aggressive panhandling for his alleged involvement in a stabbing at Rock Creek and Virginia Avenue, NW, on December 7, 2023.

During the hearing, a representative from the Pretrial Services Agency (PSA) alerted Judge Di Toro that Williams had not complied with conditions of release, including his GPS monitoring.

Judge Di Toro reminded Williams that he must follow all requirements and ordered a drug test because of his previous positive results.

Camille Wagner, who was filling in for Williams' attorney due to Henry Escoto's absence, told the court he would check with PSA.

The parties are expected to meet again on July 12.
