St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Arrests, Drunk Driving, Summons and Arrest Warrants

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office handled 1,400 calls for service, including 11 emergency petitions from May 20-26, 2024.

Calls for service include requests for police assistance from the public as well as self-initiated events by deputy sheriffs.

Maryland's emergency petition law allows for the rapid assessment of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis who may harm themselves or others to be taken to an emergency facility to assess the need for immediate treatment.

ARRESTS:

05/22/24 – Amanda Rae Bailey, 41, of Leonardtown, MD, by Corporal Vincent Pontorno for Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle, Theft $100 Under $1,500 and CDS: Possession – Not Cannabis.

05/23/24 – Jill Marie Knittel, 44, of Scotland, MD, by Corporal Vincent Pontorno for two counts CDS: Possession – No Cannabis.

05/25/24 – Trisha Kathleen Jones, 47, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Bradley Kirscht for failure to return rented/rented vehicle, theft $25,000 under $100,000 and theft from $100 to less than $1,500.

05/27/24 – Deaune Nathan Clybourne, 30, of Callaway, MD, by Deputy First Class Raymond Allebach for Theft $100 Less than $1,500 and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

DUI:

05/22/24 – Crystal Dawn Miller, 42, of Chaptico, MD, by Deputy Christopher Hill for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol per se, driving a vehicle while impaired by Alcohol and related charges.
