St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Arrests, Drunk Driving and Arrest Warrants

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office handled 1,209 calls for service, including 11 emergency petitions, from June 17-23, 2024.

Calls for service include requests for police assistance from the public as well as self-initiated events by deputy sheriffs.

Maryland's Emergency Petition Act allows for the rapid assessment of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis who are at risk of harming themselves or others to be taken to an emergency facility to assess the need for immediate treatment.

ARRESTS:

06/20/24 – Darius Antonio Mills, 31, no fixed address, by Corporal Jason Smith for fourth degree burglary, indecent exposure, second degree assault, CDS: possession – not cannabis and CDS: possession of 'accessories.

06/22/24 – Joshua Antoine Miles, 35, of Newburg, MD, by Deputy Bradley Kirscht for CDS: Possession – No Cannabis and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia. Miles was also arrested on an open arrest warrant.

06/22/24 – Walead Othman, 57, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Taylor-Lynn Kril for Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle and Theft $25,000 to Less than $100,000.

DUI:

06/17/24 – Jordan Taylor Poetzman, 29, of Leonardtown, MD, by Deputy Jordan Wagner for Driving While Impaired by Drugs/Alcohol, Unable to Drive Safely, Driving While Impaired by a controlled dangerous substance and driving with a suspended license.

06/23/24 – Maurice Louis Jackson, 35, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Mina Geric for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol itself.

GUARANTEES:

06/18/24 – Terri James Dyer Jr., 36, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Ryan McLean for failure to register as a Level I offender (15 years).

06/18/24 – Daniel Albert Humpleby, 30, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Aaron Ocasio-Rivera for failure to register as a Level III (lifetime) offender.

06/18/24 – Kenneth Shane Rebarchick, 32, of Hollywood, MD, by Deputy Cody Donaldson for failure to register as a Level III (lifetime) offender. NO PHOTO CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

06/20/24 – Timothy Dwayne Halloway, 37, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy Erik Fleenor for Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle, Theft $25,000 Under $100,000 and related charges.

06/21/24 – Matthew Scott Hurry, 38, of Lexington Park, MD, by Deputy First Class Joseph Bowling for failure to complete weekly notification as a Level III offender (10 years).

06/22/24 – George Houston Russell Jr., by Deputy Bradley Kirscht for theft of $1,500 under $25,000.
