St Albans, Melbourne: Four teenagers stabbed in skate park fight involving machete – as parents say they are afraid to leave their children outside

A brutal fight between two rival groups of youths involving a machete has left four teenagers in hospital with stab wounds.

The two groups clashed at the Errington Reserve Plaza skate park in St Albans, northwest of Melbourne, shortly before 8pm on Saturday.

Four teenagers received non-life-threatening stab wounds, with one of the participants in the fight believed to be armed with a machete.

Two of the teens, ages 18 and 15, were dropped off at a nearby hospital by an unnamed driver who fled, police said.

The other boys, both aged 15, went to the hospital around 9:45 p.m.

The groups competed at the Errington Reserve Plaza skate park (pictured) in St Albans, Melbourne.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said both parties knew each other.

Those involved are not assisting Brimbank Criminal Investigation Unit detectives with their investigations.

Blood spatters were visible on the concrete of the skate park on Sunday morning after police were seen combing the area the night before.

A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Herald Sun that police blocked nearby streets until the early hours.

Another resident, Alan Tran, told the publication that the recent violence had left his children too scared to leave the house at night.

“I’m scared for me, for my family and for everyone here,” he said.

No charges have yet been filed and the investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
