Springfield Gardens man identified as victim of fatal stabbing at Jamaican bodega Saturday night: NYPD – QNS

New York police have identified the bodega employee who was stabbed to death in Jamaica on Saturday night.

Nurul Bhulyan, 40, of 128th Avenue in Springfield Gardens, was working the night shift at Sammy Gourmet Deli, located at 169-03 Jamaica Ave., when a stranger entered the store around 9:40 p.m. and attacked Bhulyan, the stabbing. several times to the neck and shoulder, police said.

Officers from Jamaica's 103rd Precinct responded to a 911 call about a man being stabbed inside the bodega and found Bhulyan unresponsive and unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

There are no arrests and the homicide investigation continues.
