Southern California Man Arrested, Charged With Downloading Child Pornography

A Yucaipa man was arrested by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies on charges of downloading child pornography from his home.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's department issued a search warrant at the home of Isaac Ruiz, 23, located at 34100 block of Wildwood Canyon Road.

Ruiz became the subject of an investigation after a tip was posted online by the Los Angeles Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Investigators were finally able to obtain a search warrant for his home, which was served around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

During the search, investigators recovered “numerous cell phones and other electronic devices,” at least one of which contained child pornography.

Ruiz was arrested and booked into the San Bernardino Central Detention Center and is being held on $30,000 bail.

Jail records show he is due in court Monday and is expected to be charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
