Son Dinh killed after incident on Euclid Avenue

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The identity of a man who was fatally stabbed in Oak Park Monday has been released by authorities.

According to the San Diego Police Department, Son Dinh, 50, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital following an altercation in the 2500 block of Euclid Avenue.


When police arrived on scene shortly after midnight, they found Dinh with at least one stab wound to his upper body. Police said they also encountered a woman who appeared to be trying to help the victim.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate due to the unusual circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

At this point in their investigation, authorities determined that there had been some sort of argument between Dinh and the woman before the stabbing. According to police, it is still unclear exactly what events occurred. The woman's identity is known but is not being released at this time.

Detectives are still examining physical evidence from the scene. They are also attempting to locate and interview witnesses, as well as canvassing the area for surveillance footage that could provide more information about the events leading up to the stabbing.
