Somerset man accused of shooting and killing half-brother with crossbow

A man is dead after authorities say his half-brother shot him in the chest with a crossbow Friday in Somerset County. Eric Miller was found dead after state police were dispatched to a home in Somerset Township. According to Acting County Attorney Molly Metzger, Miller was hit by a crossbow bolt fired by his half-brother, Travis Shearer, of Somerset. The shooting occurred after a fight between the two turned physical, with Shearer eventually shooting Miller in the chest, Metzger said. Shearer is charged with criminal homicide.
