Sky players furious after video released of alleged harassment of Chennedy Carter

A Chicago Sky video of the incident was released outside their team's hotel in Washington, D.C., in which members of the team claim a man harassed them.

However, the pictures may not tell the whole story.

Angel Reese and other Sky players claimed as they tried to get off their team bus Wednesday night to go to their hotel that a man harassed them, used vulgar language and recorded them before for team safety to defuse the situation.

“Finding our team hotel to shoot a camera when we get off the bus and shoving it in my teammates face and harassing her is a mean job (sic),” Reese posted on. “This is seriously out of control and needs to STOP.”

In video of the incident that surfaced, the man attempted to approach Chennedy Carter, who made waves earlier in the week for her examination of Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark's hip.

“MS. Carter, have you had a chance to contact Caitlin? The man attempted to ask Carter before what appeared to be a member of the security team stepped between Carter and the individual. trying to block the camera.

Chennedy Carter checked Caitlin Clark's hip during the Sky-Fever match on June 1, sparking an intense rant.

The man repeats his question several times before the video stops.

“The basketball world wants to know if you had a chance to contact her,” he said.

But Sky players claim the video was edited and fails to capture the man's alleged harassment.

“It's interesting how the released video was edited and doesn't include the moment he harassed our staff by calling us 'ghetto s*****' and saying 'women's sport is not no shit” (sic)”, Michaela Onyenwere posted on X. “We are not going to normalize things like this. »

Chennedy Carter's hip check of Caitlin Clark has been the focus of WNBA talk in recent days. P.A.

Before video of the incident was released, Isabelle Harrison claimed they were unable to get off the team bus until security intervened.

But in the video, Carter has already gotten off the bus and is walking down the street when the man tried to approach her, contradicting that detail.

“WOW!!! Thank GOD for the safety,” Harrison posted on. “My teammate is being harassed in our hotel, it’s crazy!” I couldn't even get off the bus!!!

Carter's foul against Clark in Saturday's match between Sky and Fever was later upgraded to 1 flagrant.

This sparked intense debate over Clark's WNBA debut after becoming one of the most anticipated rookies in league history.
