Thanks, Christine, In Harrisburg, a 22-year-old man died after police say he was running away after firing several shots at officers. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 130 YESTERDAY MORNING NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH STREET AND NORTH SECOND STREET. POLICE SAY THE MAN FIRED SEVERAL SHOTS AT OFFICERS WHO THEN RETURNED FIRE, KILLING THE MAN. THE OFFICERS INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTING WERE NOT INJURED, BUT ONE K-9 OFFICER WAS EXHAUSTED. Apparently everything is fine. THE DAUPHIN COUNTY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DIVISION IS INVESTIGATING THE SHOOTING. THE NAME OF THE VICTIM HAS NOT BEEN PUBLISHED. A LOCAL FAITH ORGANIZATION IN HARRISBURG HOSTS ITS ANNUAL GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS AND PREVENTION DAY, CALLING FOR AN END TO GUN VIOLENCE. YESTERDAY'S EVENT STARTED AT ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH AND ENDED AT THE OHEV SHALOM TEMPLE. HEINDING GOD'S CALL IS A STATEWIDE ADVOCACY GROUP that works to raise awareness of civilian gun violence and the devastating impact it can have on communities. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that Nicolas Duquesne, 40, wanted on unrelated charges, was inside that office. Headquarters officials say anyone with information on BUCHANAN's whereabouts is asked to call police in Lancaster. NOW A MAN HAS DIED AFTER FALLING IN A HOLE AT THE HOLIDAY INN, POLICE BELIEVE A STEEL GRATE WAS REMOVED FOR MAINTENANCE WORK AND AN EMPLOYEE HAS FALLED INTO THIS EXPOSED HOLE. DESPITE THE RESCUE EFFORTS OF FIRST RESPONDERS. THE VICTIM WAS REPORTED TO DIE AT THE SCENE. HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HAD SOME SPECIAL VISITORS THIS WEEK AS THE PENNSYLVANIA NATIONAL AIR GUARD HAD SEVERAL SPECIAL TRAINING EXERCISES. IT'S CALLED THE IRON PIECE. THIS IS THE EXERCISE. Crews were called to a single-family home located in the 6300 block of Galleon Drive in Hampden Township at 5:11 p.m. Twelve fire companies responded to the scene. The first engine arrived within 10 minutes of the call. Six people were in the home at the time of the fire, according to Hampden Township Fire Capt. Richard Flinn. Flinn said all six escaped on their own, with one jumping from a second-story window. They were all taken to a nearby hospital for examination. The home sustained damage to the front and left side of the structure as well as the cars in the garage. The causes of the fire are currently under investigation. Below are photos from the scene.
