Half a dozen youths were arrested and another was on the run after the shooting that sent people fleeing for their lives in lakeside villages in northeastern Colombia.

According to the Richland County Sheriff, this type of violence is like a team sport for the young people involved and he has seen enough of it.

We also learn that the Memorial Day weekend shooting is linked to a deadly incident at the same location a year ago.

According to Sheriff Leon Lott, it all started about a year ago when someone's jewelry was stolen. The sheriff called it “chain theft.”

Sheriff Lott says several shootings are linked to recent shootings in the lakeside villages, and people who live there are still shaken by what happened that day.

Sheriff Lott wants the community to know that more arrests are coming.

According to Lott, the youths involved are part of groups he calls “ABC Group,” and these groups have wreaked havoc throughout Richland County.

“The common denominator is that the A-Team has been involved in numerous shootings, the weapons that we have recovered have been involved in numerous shootings, the people involved are going from location to location and doing drive-by shootings “It's out of control with this group,” said Sheriff Lott.

The six youths who investigators believe were part of the shooting will be charged as adults in the case.

Deputies say they recovered more than 80 shell casings at the scene.

According to Lott, the recovered weapons may be linked to three shootings in Fairfield County and one in Richland County.

“All of them had guns on them, and none of those guns were used in the pool shooting, which shows they got rid of those guns and gave them to someone else and that they already have others,” Lott said.

A prominent man in surveillance video seen shooting frantically is now a wanted man. Deputies are now looking for 22-year-old Joshua House.

Sheriff Lott called House “dangerous” during a recent press conference.

“This is Mister Pink Shirt, he’s the one who had the assault rifle and fired many, many bullets, yes, he’s dangerous,” Lott said.

Members of the Villages at Lakeshore community are now coming together to create a neighborhood watch.

Area resident Chandra Cleveland told WACHFOX News that enough is enough.

“We appreciate what Richland County did in arresting the six people, but we want to make sure the people in our neighborhood know we support them. We want our quiet neighborhood back,” Cleveland said.

The Villages of Lakeshore is hosting a community meeting June 20 with Richland County deputies to create a Neighborhood Watch group.

According to the sheriff, more arrests are still to come in this case.
