CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• Brandon A. Chafee, 55, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1300 block of North Pearl Street around 8:30 a.m. May 24 and booked into the Lewis County Jail on a charge of second-degree assault degree and domestic violence, after allegedly violating a court-issued restraining order and strangling the victim. Bail was set at $10,000 this weekend.

• A 36-year-old Rochester woman was arrested for fourth-degree assault and domestic violence in the 1800 block of Harrison Avenue at 12:35 a.m. May 24.

Vehicle accidents

• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue around 9 a.m. on May 24.

• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported at the intersection of East First Street and North Tower Avenue just after 1:10 p.m. on May 24.

• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported in the 1500 block of South Gold Street just after 1:40 p.m. on May 25.

• A three-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported at the intersection of West Main and North Pearl streets just after 1:55 p.m. on May 25.

• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported at the intersection of South Pearl and West Chestnut streets around 5:30 p.m. on May 25.

• A minor, no-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 900 block of North Pearl Street just before 10:55 a.m. May 26.

Hit and run

• A hit-and-run into a vehicle parked on private property in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road was reported shortly before 6:40 p.m. on May 24.

Disorderly conduct

• A disorderly man allegedly struck a vehicle with a stick in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue just after 8:50 p.m. on May 24. He denied hitting any vehicles. Officers gave him a verbal warning for disorderly conduct.

• A disorderly man allegedly yelled at customers outside a business in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue just after 10:40 p.m. on May 24. He left the scene before the police arrived.

• A disorderly woman reportedly screamed while walking down the street in the 1200 block of West Main Street just after 8:35 a.m. on May 26.

• An intoxicated man allegedly disturbed employees at a coffee stand in the 2300 block of North Pearl Street shortly after 2 p.m. on May 26. He moved alone.

• A 44-year-old Packwood homeless man was displaced for throwing things and yelling at people in the 400 block of State Street just before 8:05 p.m. on May 26.

Drunk driving

• A 24-year-old Rochester man was arrested at the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues at 1:30 a.m. May 25 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

• A 27-year-old California man was arrested at the intersection of East Summa Street and Kresky Avenue around 2:10 a.m. on May 25 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

• Shortly after 5:25 p.m. on May 26, officers responded to a drinking establishment in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue after receiving a report of a disorderly woman who had been cut. When police arrived, the woman was trying to flee in her truck and drove onto a sidewalk. When police contacted her, she exhibited objective symptoms of drunk driving and resisted efforts to take her into custody for drunk driving. The woman, 35, of Winlock, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Flight

• A trash can was reported stolen in the 700 block of South Yew Street just after 8:10 a.m. on May 25.

• A bicycle was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Johnson Road just after midnight on May 27.

Criminal trespass

• A woman trespassed on private property in the 1200 block of Alder Street shortly after 11:15 a.m. on May 25.

Illegal weapons exhibition

• Shortly before 3:10 p.m. on May 25, officers were dispatched to a report of a man in a gray Toyota pickup who had pointed a gun at a fast food employee in the drive-thru window from a business in the 100 block of West High. Street. The employee informed officers that the male suspect was yelling and angry with him for hitting the curb with his pickup truck. This matter is currently under investigation.

Malicious mischief

• Three suspects allegedly threw rocks at vehicles in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard shortly after 2:25 p.m. on May 27.

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 communications recorded approximately 60 illness-related calls, 17 injury-related calls, eight fire-related calls, seven non-emergency calls for service, five vehicle accidents , one report of a dead body, one overdose, two suicide calls, two ambulance requests, one report of dangerous conditions, one Lifeline medical alert, one found person report, one pregnancy call, one request for public assistance and six other appeals.

PRISON STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total of 16 inmates, including 10 booked by the Centralia Police Department, four booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Lummi Nation and one booked by the state police Tenino. Department.
