Shreveport woman arrested after stabbing victim

SHREVEPORT, LA – Shreveport woman arrested after stabbing another

Shortly after midnight on June 17, 2024, Shreveport Police officers responded to a call regarding an assault and battery in the 3100 block of Woodlawn Avenue. Upon arrival, police arrested a 48-year-old man Michelle Mitchellwho had stabbed a family member with a knife during the incident.

Further investigation revealed that Mitchell had outstanding warrants for entering and remaining after being prohibited, as well as for resisting arrest. Mitchell was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants and the stabbing incident, and she was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

The stabbing victim is expected to recover from his injuries.
