Shreveport stabbing a supercenter; police on site

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Two people are in custody after an argument led to a stabbing at a Shreveport Walmart in Shreve City.

The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is advising individuals to avoid Walmart Supercenter Barksdale Hwy “for approximately one hour while we process the crime scene.”


According to reports, a shot was fired and a person was stabbed. Corporal Chris Bordelon of the SPD emphasizes that this is not an active shooting.

The stabbed individual was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to SPD.

Bordelon said, “We are working diligently to determine what the cause was and who the attacker was.” »
