Shooting on Canal Street in New Orleans

New Orleans police search for man accused of shooting, injuring three people

MESSAGE OF FREEDOM. AND NOW IT'S TIME TO MAKE ANOTHER CHECK OF OUR WEATHER TO SEE WHAT THE FORECAST LOOKS LIKE FOR THIS WEEK. And I heard it was hot, even hotter. You know, you summed it up perfectly. I should have made this my graph. HOT, HOT, HOTTER. YOU COULD SELL IT BETTER. Well, tomorrow will be a little warmer than today, but it will also be a little windier. So potato, potato, it’s Memorial Day weekend. We are used to it being hot in Louisiana this time of year. LET'S SHOW THE CURRENT CONDITIONS RIGHT NOW AT LOUIS ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, 78 DEGREES TEMPERATURE. BUT I THINK THE REAL THING THAT AT LEAST STANDS OUT FOR ME IS THIS DEW POINT OF 76. YOU KNOW THAT DURING THE SUMMER, DURING HURRICANE SEASON, OUR DEW POINTS ARE USUALLY IN THE LOW TO MID 70'S. SO IT’S DEFINITELY A SUMMER DEW POINT. WINDS RIGHT NOW SOUTH AT ABOUT FIVE MILES PER HOUR. THIS SOUTH WIND GETS A LITTLE STRONGER TOMORROW. So I think it's going to feel good. It will always be hot. IN FACT, TOMORROW WE NOW MEAN IT AS A WEATHER IMPACT DAY BECAUSE THE HEAT INDEX COULD BE HIGHER THAN 100. BUT THIS BREEZE MAYBE TAKES A BIT OF THE ADVANTAGE AWAY. AND BRITTANY SAYS BETTER HOT, HOT AND HOTTER. This is truly what we have for your three-day weekend. NOW THE CLOUDS ARE MOVING IN DURING THE NIGHT. We had some pretty thick clouds in place, but those clouds are coming out of the atmosphere getting a little drier, and we have a front to the north of us, but that front is going to move into the southern part of the state, producing A FEW SHOWERS IN FAR NORTHERN LOUISIANA. BUT THERE IS A COLD FRONT THAT WE WILL BE WATCHING BY LATE MONDAY AND TUESDAY. NOW LET’S HAVE YOUR HOLIDAY WEEKEND. NOTICE HOW THE CLOUDS WILL DIMINISH THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. EVEN LATE IN THE MORNING, I THINK WE WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY, WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY, NEAR 90 DEGREES. YES, IT WILL BE LIKE THE 90'S, MAYBE EVEN NEAR 100 TOMORROW MORNING. A LITTLE MORE CLOUDY COVER IN THE MORNING. WE WILL START WITH THESE TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70S SO IT WILL BE A MUGGY START TO SUNDAY'S DAY. AND THEN IN THE AFTERNOON, Mostly sunny again, HIGH NEAR 90. BUT WATCH THE WIND. A LITTLE WINDIER TOMORROW WITH WINDS AROUND 10 TO 15MPH. YOUR HOLIDAY ON MONDAY? WELL, WE'RE GOING TO START AGAIN WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S. YOU'LL NOTICE A FEW SHOWERS TO THE NORTH, BUT BOGALUSA YOU MIGHT GET A STRANGE SHOWER MAYBE IN THE MORNING, BUT ONLY A 20% CHANCE OF RAIN FOR MONDAY AND THEN MONDAY AFTERNOON ONCE AGAIN WE WILL BE UP TO NEAR 90 DEGREES FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE. NOW THE CHANCE OF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A LITTLE HIGHER LATE MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. IN THE NIGHT FROM TUESDAY TO WEDNESDAY. HERE IS A COLD FRONT. NOW HERE IS THE QUESTION. IS THIS REALLY GOING TO GO FAR ENOUGH SOUTH THAT WE'LL SEE SOME COOLER, DRY AIR THAT'S STILL HIGH IN THE AIR, BUT FOR NOW I THINK BY THE END Next week temperatures are expected to be within a degree or two. COOLER HUMIDITY JUST A TOUCH LOWER. Start your engines for the Indy 500. Well, it doesn't look great now. I checked the latest weather forecast this morning. THE CHANCES OF RAIN INCREASE FROM LATE MORNING UNTIL THE AFTERNOON, SO THEY CAN START THE RACE WELL, BUT THE AFTERNOON CONTINUES. THEY ARRIVE AT 130 2:00 A CHANCE OF RAIN WILL INCREASE. It's going to be really uncertain if you want it to be. WHAT CONCERNS THE FORECASTS. And I was talking well, I was texting a friend of mine who had been working in this market for many years. He said, Jim, he said weather in Indianapolis, end of May. IT IS DIFFICULT TO FORECAST AS MOSTLY SUNNY AND WARM TODAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES NEAR 90 DEGREES TONIGHT. Generally clear, hot and heavy. WE WILL START IN THE MID 70'S AND TOMORROW AFTERNOON WE COULD REALLY SEE A HEAT INDEX OVER 100 AND SOME POINTS. IT WILL BE A LITTLE COOL BUT WITH THESE WINDS COMING. SOUTH TOWARDS APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 25 MPH, 20% CHANCE OF RAIN ON MEMORIAL DAY 30% CHANCE OF RAIN TUESDAY. AND THERE YOU WILL SEE A LITTLE BIT OF COOLING BY WEDNESDAY AND
