JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a shooting damaged buildings and vehicles at an apartment complex.

The shooting took place at Inverness Park on Ridgewood Road on Saturday, June 29.

Detective Tommie Brown said the shooting involved several suspects in the parking lot of the apartment complex. He added that no injuries have been reported at this time and two persons of interest have been taken into custody.

Neighbors told WJTV 12 News they saw four boys running from the apartment complex and firing shots. There were several bullet casings on the ground.

Neighbors said several apartment buildings were hit by gunfire.
