Sheriff's Office urges residents to register their bikes

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is encouraging community members to use its new bicycle registration program to register their bicycles.

This free service will increase the chances of bicycles being returned in the event of loss or theft.

The registration will include the owner's contact information as well as the make, model and serial number of the bike.

The information collected will be maintained in a database at the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
