Sheriff's Office investigates fatal shooting on Pleasantville Road

[Richland Township, May 25th, 2024] – Richland Township Sheriff Alex Lape released a statement revealing that on May 24, 2024, officers responded to a distress call in the 8000 block of Pleasantville Road regarding an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, Thorn Township medics confirmed the tragic death of 25-year-old Bradd Johnson Jr..

Further investigation by detectives from the Fairfield County Sheriff's Bureau of Investigation, in conjunction with Fairfield County investigators, revealed that Mr. Johnson had suffered a gunshot wound. The case was therefore transformed into a homicide investigation.
