Sheriff's Office Implements GovQA Technology to Improve Public Records Request Process

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCTXSheriff) is pleased to announce the implementation of GovQA software, a cutting-edge solution designed to streamline and improve the public records request process.

Beginning July 8, 2024, GovQA’s cloud platform will enable MCTXSheriff to efficiently manage and process requests for public records from citizens and media, including electronic records, video and audio files. As the volume and complexity of requests continue to grow, GovQA’s secure and configurable platform provides the scalability and flexibility to meet MCTXSheriff’s evolving needs.

The new system provides a centralized, secure public records portal, allowing residents to easily submit and track their requests online. It also streamlines workflows for MCTXSheriff employees, ensuring timely responses and improved accuracy. Self-service tools and automated features enable citizens to proactively access information, promoting greater transparency and trust.

Sheriff Rand Henderson of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office highlighted the importance of this technological advancement, saying, “Investing in innovative technology like GovQA is critical to improving citizen engagement and ensuring transparency. This new platform will significantly modernize our public records request process, allowing us to serve our community more effectively and efficiently.”
