Shane Teslik sentenced to ten years in prison for stabbing to death in 2023 | AM 600 WMT

(Cedar Rapids, IA) — The man convicted of manslaughter in the stabbing death of Devonna Walker is sentenced to ten years in prison.

A judge today ordered Shane Teslik to also pay $12,234.35 in restitution to the Crime Victims Assistance Program, as well as $150,000 to Walker's children.

He is also ordered to pay a fine of $1,370.

Investigators say the stabbing happened outside Teslik's Cedar Rapids apartment after an argument.

He will be eligible for parole after five years.
