Sewer spilled into Honey Creek near Ann Arbor

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A sewer spilled into Honey Creek near Ann Arbor on Monday, officials said.

The spill entered the creek east of North Zeeb Road and north of I-94 in Scio Township west of Ann Arbor, according to the township in a June 3 alert.

Although the spill has been stopped, authorities advise avoiding contact with the creek at this time.

Scio Township is working with the Washtenaw County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Energy, Great Lakes and Environment to resolve the issue, officials said.
