Severe storms cause damage across southeastern Wisconsin

High winds and heavy rain caused damage and flooding in southeastern Wisconsin throughout Saturday evening.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that there was significant flooding “especially along the line from Waupun to Eden to Oakfield.” One of their most serious calls Saturday involved a vehicle that had been swept off the road and into a nearby creek in Eden. The driver was able to get out before the vehicle was completely submerged. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office also says several roads remain impassable and are marked with barricades.

Residents on Janesville's south side also experienced power outages due to damage to electrical infrastructure, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported due to the storm in Rock County.
