Several people shot dead at party

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating after several people were shot Friday evening. Around 11 p.m., BCSO said they received several calls reporting shots fired in the area of ​​Horace Dawson Lane in Dale. En route, BCSO said deputies were informed that several gunshot victims were gone. Officers arrived on Horace Dawson Lane and found that there had been a total of four people with gunshot wounds. BCSO said one victim was still at the scene, a 38-year-old woman. BCSO said three other victims, a 17-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, all left the scene separately to seek medical attention. We're told no one suffered life-threatening injuries. A residence and several vehicles were also hit by gunfire. BCSO said investigators learned there had been a high school graduation party in the courtyard when unknown persons arrived and started shooting. BCSO said the unknown shooters left the area before deputies were called. There will be a law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation is still ongoing.
