Several people displaced after fire burns 2 homes in Boise

Boise Fire said one person received medical treatment but was released at the scene and a cat was rescued.

BOISE, Idaho — Several people are displaced after two homes caught fire. According to the Boise Fire Department (BFD), the fire occurred on the evening of Saturday, June 8. One person was treated at the scene and released, and firefighters rescued a cat which was returned to its owners. There were no other injuries.

BFD said both homes are located in the 2900 block of S Columbus St.

“Engine 8 arrived first to heavy smoke and flames visible from both homes. Fire crews quickly coordinated the attack and extinguished the fire, while conducting search and rescue operations,” he said. declared a message on social networks.
