Several homes catch fire in Dayton – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

Dayton firefighters were dispatched at 3:27 a.m. to the intersection of E. 4th Street and S. Van Leer Street on initial reports of a structure fire.

Videos and photos show damage to at least two homes and flames could be seen in one of them.

Dayton firefighters told News Center 7's Kayla McDermott the fires are under control.

Initial scanner traffic indicates AES Ohio and an investigator were called to the scene.

Several firefighters responded to a house fire in Dayton early Monday morning.

Dayton firefighters were dispatched at 3:27 a.m. to the intersection of E. 4th Street and S. Van Leer Street for initial reports of a structure fire.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told News Center 7 that firefighters were on scene, but no further details were available.

The first scanners indicated an intense fire when firefighters arrived on scene.
