Several displaced in Mesa fire

The fire occurred Tuesday afternoon near McKellips Road and Mesa Drive, officials said.

MESA, Ariz. — A fire at a Mesa apartment complex has displaced 18 people, authorities say.

The Mesa Fire and Medical Department said the fire happened Tuesday afternoon near McKellips Road and Mesa Drive.

Four units were affected by the fire, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.

“The occupants had been evacuated before our arrival,” the department said.

A dog is still missing following the fire.

The department said the displaced people were being helped by the Red Cross.
