Several agencies respond after teenager drowns in Holmes Lake

A 16-year-old boy drowned after authorities say he went swimming in Holmes Lake Thursday evening. Multiple agencies responded when they were able to find the teen around 10 p.m. Lincoln Fire and Rescue rescue divers and Nebraska State Patrol air and marine units found him and pronounced him dead a short time later. Authorities believe there is no foul play involved. The boy's name is not being released until his family is notified. The investigation continues.
